There was a time I enjoyed braiding my Bitsy's hair with feathers and strands of leather. She didn't mind because she loved to have her mane combed and my fingers running through it. Maybe it was the Cherokee blood in me that made me do it. I still save feathers that I find for the memory of her sweet nature and our moments of quiet calm together. Enjoy a little Bill Miller with this shot. Bitsy liked this guy's music... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OAbtzFtzOA
@maggiemae Thank you, Maggiemae! I'm happy to know it cheered you up but, I'm sorry you have bad people in your life. I think most of us do. Hard to tolerate sometimes.
@redrucksack Thank you for your lovely comments, Eva! Most appreciated!
My Heart goes out to You Ma'am ... Our Companion's are not Pets ... They truly are Companion's that leave a permanent mark and place in Our Heart's ... Peace to Your's Maggie ...
Never heard of Bill Miller before marbro, must say it was pretty good .. & you have Cherokke blood blood running in your veins , now that is very cool indeed !! be proud , I would be, ! Lovely shot great story (;
@vickisfotos Thank you, Vicki! I had to shoot the soft and fuzzy part. =)
@lonewolfman You are very kind. Bitsy didn't die. I had to give her away when I was laid off because I couldn't afford to take care of her anymore. I just hope she's happy in her new home. I think she is, I hope so any how. Thank you for stopping by, guy. Most appreciated!
@steveh Glad you enjoyed it, Steve. His native American pieces are really very good. I will have to post more. LOL! Yes, I am part Cherokee and English, Irish, German and Dutch. A melting pot. All English and German on my dad's side and Dutch, Irish and Cherokee on my mother's side. I'm pretty proud of all of them. Thank you for your kind comments and visit. Always appreciated and I don't hold typos against anyone. Ha ha!

Great shot and sentiment I can tell you still carry the soul of her existence with you always..... I am sorry about your job and losing Bitsy becausevof it
wow, you get some long comment threads!!! Anyway, came over and found this. Now I read in another person's post (where I did tag you) that you had to give up your horse, is that right? How sad and makes this photo all the more emotional. I love the idea of how you braided her mane with feathers....I guess part of your heritgae. I just have to fave this for all the photo holds.
@Cherrill Your comments are very kind, Cherrill. Thank you so much for them and for the fav! Yes, I had to give her away. Horses have no value in this economy - I could not sell her. I think she went to a good home. I couldn't afford to feed her anymore because of my lay off and I still have not found another job yet. I had to sell my truck, too. Hoping I can find some work, some where before I have to give up my home. I'm fighting tooth and nail to hang on to what I have left. It's this blood sucking economy! Millions have lost all they have but, they aren't talking about that on our network news. I have never seen America in such sad and deplorable shape and still our corrupt politicians keep giving away the proverbial farm. Appreciate all your kind remarks and visit! Thank you, again!
So Bitsy is not with you anymore, I take it? Awwwww...happy memories are such a double edged sword. They bring a smile to the lips,but a tear to the eye.
@sailingmusic Thank you, Myrna! Rule? I'm not aware of any rule but "white space" or "negative space" is basically void of any subject matter but still part of your composition. Like a bird on the far third of your composition and the rest of the space just plain blue sky. Savvy?
