This little native wildflower is Triodanis biflora, aka Southern Venus's Looking-glass or Small Venus's Looking-glass. We have two varieties in South Carolina. Hoping to find the other before June. For No Mow May. More info here - http://www.namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=4292
I love the simplicity of this flower, and it’s five little green bud-stalks (for want of a more suitable name!) sticking out between the petals. It’s delightful. Lovely capture.
