I wish I could say that I will enjoy eating these when they get ripe... Alas, the varmint squirrels will knock them ALL off the tree and leave one bite in their soft and pretty little green forms. The stupid squirrels can't even wait for them to get ripe. They are such destructive creatures when they're overpopulated! I've tried a net over the tree... No good! The dang squirrels chew right through it... just like they've chewed up every bluebird house and hummingbird feeder I own. Wish I could put a glass dome over my peach tree, that's just impossible. Anyone else got any ideas?
Wow--that is gorgeous. Look at those leaves--they look so cool. Now is that what they call bokeh in the back. (I trust you not to make fun of my question ; )
Gorgeous in b&w, Maggie .... one just picks up the textures and the loveliness of the light and shadow this way. You've got to do something about those squirrels. I didn't know that they would chew their way through netting! I'd get a "little" irritated too. Nothing better than a fresh, ripe and juicy peach.
@lizzy_lu123 Thank you so very much, Lisa! I really appreciate your kind comments and visit!
@yonnie Thank you, Yvonne! Your comments are so kind and thoughtful! Yes, it is bokeh which is the out of focus light. It's can sometimes be perfectly round depending on your aperture and focus. Bokeh is one of those great things that you can read up on in a Google search, plus see some much better examples of it than mine, and see some art that's being made from it, too!
@anazad511 Thank you, Ana! I really appreciate your honesty!
@karenann Appreciate every single word you wrote, Karen! Thank you very much! Yes, but aside from getting out a pellet gun and a sling shot and posting a 24 hour sentry, I don't know what to do. I can't poison them because I'm afraid of hurting my beautiful wild birds. I sure wish some big hawks and eagles would move in and just have at 'em!
@cindyrez Thank you, Cindy! I'd have to trap about 50 to 75 of them, Cindy! Need to fly in some hungry eagles and hawks!!! You can see one about every tenth of a mile smashed in the road, too! They are just way overpopulated in this area right now. The only natural predator they have are birds of prey.
