Just a craptastic shot of my red sweetheart roses and experimenting with effects from Perfect Photo Suite. Hmmm? What do think of the "Hollywood Glow" effect? The shot is pretty bad - too much harsh sunlight! I may have made matters worse. Oh well!
When you mentioned "Hollywood Glow" this photo immediately reminded me of Marilyn Monroe. The vivid pink and the glow ... yep, that's her. (I think it was the movie Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" where she wore that bright pink gown!)
@joeboxster You remind me of my best friend, Dave, Joe! He loved big busty blonds! LOL! I appreciate your feedback, Joe. The shot is pretty craptastic. Had I shot it in better light, it probably wouldn't have been so bright in the bottom.
I don't think it's craptastic. I think you did a great job of editing it to give it a dreamy feel - which makes the harsh lighting work with the softness you added. No, it's not technically perfect, but you've done a good job with what you had to work with.
@joeboxster LOL! Well it's a shame you couldn't have seen mine 10 years ago! I used to have the best pair of LONG legs in the state - so I was often told! Not so much now though. Ugh!
@amandalomonaco Now that is a very kind thing to say! Thank you so much, Amanda! Most appreciated!
I know what you mean about the harsh sunlight. I have trouble with it unless I have time to fool around with my manual setting which are still very unfamiliar to me. I think your experimental shots are a good learning tool for other people as well. I really like what you are doing.
@purdey Yes, my tea roses are all gone now, too. Don't know if they'll bloom again this summer. The ivy may have choked them too much. Appreciate your kind comments, Sharon. Thank you!
Can there ever be too much sunlight? your making me jealous! LOL England is GREY GREY GREY! =)
I like this shot, i love all the light and the glow is lovely too - not craptastic in the slightest.....
@mantha LOL! Don't be, Sam! I'd really love to send you some of our sunshine and the heat and humidity along with it. Thank you for your wonderful comments! Most appreciated.
@peterdegraaff When they're blown out with false pink colors? LOL! Thank you, Peter! You are very kind!
@phil_howcroft Aww! Phil, you are such a nice guy! When you have false pinks in your reds, it's not a great pic. I really do appreciate your comments! Thank you so much!
