A Step in the Right Direction

My Catholic parish is having the front steps replaced. I liked the graphic possibilities -- in this picture, the plastic water bottle in the upper right (left by a construction worker, I suppose), the yellow and black rope, and the sign. Because the parish has a Hispanic community and mass in Spanish at noon, there were signs in Spanish as well as ones in English, directing people across the street to the school gym for mass this weekend and next. This is my first photo uploaded.
Welcome to 365, hope you enjoy it here as much as I do. I look forward to seeing a photo of the new steps when they are done.

Thanks, Sue. I'm looking forward to the new steps. I'll take one of them when they are finished. I am enjoying 365 immensely! Spending far too much time browsing all the wonderful photos here and trying to figure out what I'll do for the next day. Hopefully, once the fever breaks, I'll be able to discipline myself so I get all the other things done that I should be working on.

@mcsiegle - Hi Mary, this is too "weird" to let go. I just clicked on your pics and decided to follow you. Then I clicked to read more about you (something I rarely do). So ... my wife and I drove all night last night returning from six days in MANHATTAN, KS! Oh so weird. Our son is stationed at Ft. Riley and we went to see him before he's deployed. We LOVED the town and my wife actually applied for a job there. .... she says clicking on your profile is a sign ... rut roh!

@dlaxton Dave, Really weird! Who would have thought? I'm so pleased you liked my home town. I'll cross my fingers that your wife gets a good job offer. And a prayer for your son's safe travel and deployment. Took a look at your project. Lots of good photos there. Do you teach architecture? I see a lot of building shots. Following you back. Don't want to lose track of someone who knows where the Little Apple is.

@mcsiegle - I teach Critical Thinking and work with the football freshman on College Success. Thanks for the compliments and the time you spend in my project. Yes, it seemed like a great town ... we enjoyed a myriad of different places - some better than others, but all were great. So Long Saloon and Taco Lucha were both as enjoyable as they were reviewed to be.
