The Suspense is Killing Her by mcsiegle

The Suspense is Killing Her

My granddaughter, Nelo (the one with the ears) waiting for birds to come to the feeder. I fear her presence in the window is somewhat of a deterrent, but hope springs eternal in the feline breast. My get pushed challenge given me by Stacey MacDonald @stacey_mac was to "create a photo that captures a sense of suspense." This is my first response. I have other ideas that I hope to try before the week is over, but this photo op presented itself. It is not a photographic masterpiece, and thus the heavy post processing I used (selective blur and impressionistic effect). The result of all the processing, however, fairly well pleases me, though I'd like some feedback as to whether the blur I applied to the distracting background is hard on the eyes.
@stacey_mac Here is one response to the challenge you gave me.

Great shot for suspense. All good things come to those who wait?

@nanderson Thanks, Nancy! @kerrynz Kerry, thanks...good things...hmmm good for Nelo? Good for the birds? :-) In truth, my son doesn't let her roam outside unsupervised, so I think she's not much of a serious threat. In any case, he and she went home today after visiting for a couple of weeks over the holidays. So our birds can eat in peace now.

Nice I like how the cat is a silhouette.

The blur really focuses your attention on wondering what tense thoughts are going through her mind. Loved the shot, and the effect.
