Dinosaur Population Explosion by mcsiegle

Dinosaur Population Explosion

The 365 Toys have "World Population" as their theme this week. When I explained that some people are very concerned about over-population, the dinosaurs thought that was the craziest thing they ever heard of. Extinction is soooooo much more a concern to dinosaurs. But they didn't want to skip playing with the Toys this week, so I cajoled the Mosasaurus and the Stegosaurus into posing for me, and then we had fun applying a kaleidoscope filter out on Pixlr.com. They had to admit the result was very trippy. Some of the others were a little sorry they hadn't gotten in on the shoot. But I think it looks better this way than if it had been crowded with too many dinosaurs.
cool effect Mary

This really works well. It makes such a great pattern. Mind you I would be really worried about a population explosion of dinosaurs!

Wow! This is a fabulous composition! I love how it makes so many dinosaurs! Maybe they are extinct but are making a comeback through your art!

What an awesome effect! Love it!

this is so cool. It could either be an explosion in the population or it could be the population disappearing into extinction. Either way.

@francoise I never thought of it that way, but you're right! Thanks.

@sueb47 Thanks. You know, I would too. Frank and Dan are going to see Jurassic World tomorrow, but I'm opting out. I'm guessing the action and scariness would not be as enjoyable for me - especially on the big screen. I prefer my dinosaurs measured in single digit inches.

@kali66 @grammyn @linnypinny Thanks so much. I had fun playing with that. There's a cool kaleidoscope app on my iPod, but I couldn't get anything that left the dinosaurs distinguishable as dinosaurs. This worked just as I wanted.
