Frankly, I don't care. I know these two shots can't compare to many of the wonderful bird photos posted here by Graham Thresher @thresheg and others, but I was just so thrilled to be able to zoom close enough in with this camera to be able to take a bird photo at all.
Oh Mary, I am soooo with you on the subject of others' amazing bird shots and not being able to take a bird photo oneself. I will be posting my singular bird shot in a couple of days. Stay tuned..... And, by the way, I happen to think both of your bird shots are awesome.
Mary I think this is a fabulous shot, is looks amazing on black. However if it brings you joy, isn't that the whole point to your photography? Love the light, and the shadows of the branches, give the photo character, awesome capture!
@vignouse Richard and @juleshoogstraanderson Jules, you're absolutely right. I should not be comparing my photos to those of others. I enjoy taking them and learning more and more as I do. Looking at others' shots (and sometimes learning as I do) is a pure pleasure I look forward to every day. Thanks for the words of wisdom.
If we only posted pictures that were as good/better than the others we see on 365, it wouldn't be any fun at all. I figure the point of it all is simply to have fun getting out and seeing things.
