The Kansas River

It's been really dry here. I walked up half way across the viaduct to take pictures of how very low the Kansas river is. In this picture it doesn't look so bad (but I liked the looks of the photo), but the other I'm posting in my Alternates album, taken from a different vantage point, better demonstrates the very low level of the river.

Nice islands. It would be good to see a contras when more water flowing.

It is a pretty composition, but a very low water level. Perhaps you will get lots of snow and more water because of it.
