@farmreporter I hope this fits what you were looking for. I didn't have any luck with an abortive attempt to take a photo with foreground, subject, and background at greater distances to each other. I focused on one of the colored glass pieces in my window, and I cheated and used the macro "flower icon" setting on the camera.
And using the flower icon setting is not cheating at all - it's very creative!
