Here's the get pushed challenge @kali66 Kali gave me: "is a black and white landscape out of the question this week? preferably with a human or animal element for scale ...not sure of your surroundings... alternative or adjunct would be natural framing... ie finding a frame to frame your subject within the picture." I went over to the City Park this afternoon -- took a few pictures that included people, but found them more boring than the ones with some sort of framing. So the two I'm posting here use the second option she offered. I'm not sure my car and the one next to it are worthy "subjects" to frame. The landscape in general, I guess is what I was going for. Perhaps too much of the foreground here to really be considered a proper landscape. But I was captivated by the sight of the seed pod in the hollow.
Perhaps if you had moved a little more to your left your fabulous frame would have shown more landscape and less cars. Of course it's not a landscape at all but I like the fact that the tree framed the seedpod beautifully. A good choice of subject, Mary
@grammyn Good point. I found it a little tricky to get anything worth seeing. I opted for this because the inclusion of the part of tree trunk to the right somehow made if feel more like a frame. But of course man (or woman) cannot live by frame alone. There has to be something inside the frame. :-)
