The diff has arrived and we took the ute to the workshop this afternoon. Hopefully all will be repaired by mid morning tomorrow and we will be able to get on the road again - even if it is to start heading for home again.
After dropping the ute off we went for a walk along trail beside Burnt Creek. The river gums are magnificent.
That sounds like a pretty major thing to happen when you're away from home. So lucky that you made it to somewhere that could do the repairs. I like your image - it just showcases our wonderful creek and river landscapes. :)
@robz It certainly could have been a lot worse Rob. Unfortunately we're still in Horsham. Graham asked them to check the wheel bearings while the diff was off. They are showing wear so we're replacing them too. They should arrive from Melbourne by 5pm. Now our fingers are crossed to get away by mid morning on Friday. Our big concern with all of this is that Graham is a stickler for keeping up with servicing and the ute was checked out before we left home.
@merrelyn Gosh Merrelyn - that's still long way from home. How annoying for Graham when he'd made sure everything was checked before you left. Fingers crossed for mid-morning Friday!! :)
