@annepann My husband calls them a turtle dove - we have two that visit the backyard - the larger ones have the ring around their neck (I think he calls them Eurasion Doves). This is the smaller one.
@milaniet I looked through my guidebooks and don't see any clear matches. An Inca Dove fluffed out, maybe....although I have never seen one. Just doesn't look right for Mourning Dove or Eurasian Collared Dove. If you get any more good shots, I'd be interested to see them, esp. if not fluffed out.
