Don't They Know It's Almost November?

I can't believe I'm still spotting butterflies when it's nearly November. This Eastern Comma was happily sunning himself on the creek bank.

At first, the brilliant orange color laying on the rocks had me thinking leaf. Then I realized it was a butterfly! Then I read your title and got a chuckle. How lucky you are to still be enjoying the presence of beautiful butterflies when it's almost November! :-)

The whole clock of nature seems to have got a little mixed this year. But it is still amazing to have butterflies in November.
