Just completed the current paper, on professional post production, in our Photography Diploma.
For the final portfolio I decided to have a go at food levitation. It's blimin' hard, lol! I thought it would be easy but it's actually very fiddly and time consuming - both when photographing and in editing, and I did quite basic compositions. I think my main problem was not having a stand for my flash so I had to hand hold it while trying to hold/pour food items at the same time. And another problem was not having enough quantities of sprinkles, sweets and blueberries, so catching them just at the right time when the flash fired was really difficult. I needed more of each thing so I could do continuous pours while the flash went off.
This assignment has been all consuming over the last few weekends and during the week I've been working full-time back in an admin role. Because I've been using a computer all day at work I can't face putting mine on at home in the evenings. It means I've been absent from here a lot recently, sorry.
