There are thousands of termite mounds in Namibia, mostly made by non wood eating termites. We learnt that the mounds you can see are like icebergs with many more times the size under the surface of the ground. They also vary in colour depending on the geography of where they are, some, like this one are very red and make great pictures in the golden hours.
