Jeff and I celebrated our 33rd anniversary this week! We went to a local museum (pictures to come), took a short hike along the Delaware River and finished the day off by going out to dinner. But when I tried to upload last night, the site was out of commission, so here I am posting a day late )o:. A few months ago there was so much rain the Delaware had risen over its banks. And even though we're still getting plenty of rain, there's enough time between storms for everything to drain. I chose this picture in honor of our anniversary (which was actually Friday). With 33 years of marriage you know we've had a mixture of good years and tough years, but we realize we have so much to be thankful for. Marriage really is a journey (just like life). The two canoes seemed to be a good metaphor of Jeff and I. We're in this for the long haul and we're in it together. As long as we look to the Lord to guide us, we'll paddle along just fine.
Well congrats on your anniversary. May the Lord continue to bless the two of you as your journey continues for many years to come. Thanks for posting this picture. I don't think I have ever senthe Delaware River before and it reminds me of the river in Edmonton
@roejan@mrssmith@bkbinthecity Thank you everyone for the warm wishes and comments. Yes, bkb, it's a pretty river. Many people enjoy canoeing, kayaking and fishing on the Delaware. Tubing is also popular. It's mostly a gently flowing one, but there are some spots with rapids to keep you awake!
