It's Sunday. I'm in church (with my camera of course!!). I'm looking for an abstract. If you knnow me, you know what I'm about to photograph- the stained glass windows.
@peterdegraaff Thanks Peter. I have seen some beautiful modern churches that are lovely and more abstract. Our church was built in the 1800's so it's very colonial in its architecture and the stained glass windows are reminiscent of some of the beautiful Cathedral style windows of Europe. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
i love stained glass and someday i will learn how to do it. great start, too, for you on your challenge.
i noticed something, though. in your posting for the challenge, you indicated that the tag would be "aprilachallenge". however, you tagged this post differently. which is it?
@potsbypam Thank you Pam! lol Everyone in the congregation knows that when they see me with camera in hand I am taking another shot for "that photo thing she does on line". @twinsplusone Thank you Sharon- glad you liked this one! @summerfield Thanks Vikki- Oh yes, I'll go back and fix that. I think it's listed with the dashes on the link. @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @digitalrn Thanks Rick. This was taken AFTER the entire service. (o:
@ellimae Thanks Ellen- yes I know. I would have passed the "test" but the palm cross makers might not have! @kaseycarroll Thanks Kasey! I appreciate your comment! @la_photographic Thank you Laura! @boogie Thanks Mags! @alia_801 Thanks Alia!
Really beautiful, Ann! You've just got an eye for abstract! You need to do something with this creative mind of yours. BTW, what was the answer to your "blue shot" last night. Did I somehow miss that?!!
@prttblues Thanks Bev! You made me chuckle! I usually take all my pictures after the service. This one however was taken in the foyer so it didn't matter. Funny girl!! @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! I can see how it looks that way. @sharritta Thanks Sharon! @steeler Thanks Howard! @sangwann Thanks Dione- it's actually color. You can see a soft green tint in the lower left corner and a little red/orange in the upper left. @karenann Thank you Karenann- wish I knew what to do with this creative mind- at present it seems quite unemployable because it's attached to a body that's over 50 and employers aren't interested in that age bracket. As for the guessing game it's in the second album and the answer was posted today but under the date of March 31.
@olivetreeann If you think of how to sell a fiftyish creative mind to an employer I could use a hint or two my way. Money is always tighter than comfortable
@olivetreeann I'm subbing for 13 years now and that is making me reach for the credit card much too often when the paycheck is too small and the month too long
@pandorasecho We have gone totally off credit because it was just too easy! But it sure means we go without a lot. We're doing our best to hang in there.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@woot Thank you Davide!
@kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi!
@crickle1969 Thank you Crickle!
@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole!
Thanks everyone- you really can't go wrong with a stained glass shot!
