Jeff and I are quite a pair. We are definitely opposites. He doesn't mind being in front of a crowd; I'm content to stay in the background. He is quick and decisive. I am thought-filled and hesitant. He believes the house is his personal closet; I can't function unless everything is neat and tidy! We laugh at/with each other all the time. But in spite of our different personalities and all the quirks that go with them, we are a team and love to be with each other. He still calls me his "bride" and I call him "love". I don't think we could have imagined what our lives as husband and wife would be like the day we said "I do" but somehow we've managed to make it through the good and bad times with our faith and the support of family and friends. I saw this Willow Tree figurine when I was visiting my cousins in Colorado many years ago, and it immediately reminded me of Jeff and I, so it came home with me. It seemed to be an appropriate symbol of our April A Challenge word today.
Interesting capture of these figures. Still affectionate, regardless of time or cracked paint. It seems to say "Our love will endure the ages" which I guess sums up your relationship with Jeff.
@boogie Thank you Mags! Taken in the early morning sun strongly back lighting the figurine. @sanera Thanks Samantha! Yes, we feel God has really blessed us- although we've had to work at it too! @cromwell Thank you so much Cromwell! Yes, this is the style of this artist- carved to look "old" and weathered. I so appreciate your comment and view! @karenann Thank you Karenann, yes, we certainly have.

Oh my, how fortunate you are. It's nice to love and be loved. You are also so fortunate to have created such a beautiful photo to represent that love! Bravo, a fav for me!
Thnks for the reminder. My husband is also wonderful, and we've been together 30 years, but when life gets in the way it's nice to remember to say, "I am lucky"
i didn't know about the 'willow' figurines until i came to 365. they are quite interesting. i like this shot for the prompt, the lighting is priceless! i love it when i come across stories like yours. it makes the fiction i write believable.
Thank you everyone for your lovely well-wishes and thoughts. The next best thing to having such a special guy is having such great friends here on 365! Your comments have me grinning from ear to ear!
I can't decide which one is best.. your sentiments or the photo..this is a very rare situation nowadays.... =).. I wish to both of you be together.. for many many years.. and to you(amd us) to take photos.. for many many years..
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! One and all. My apologies for the mass thank you as you all know I prefer to thank everyone individually. It's been a fun but long day and I have a ton of comments to read! I can't tell you how good your comments made me feel- and yes, I know I'm blessed to feel this way! I'm glad you all appreciated it too!
@melorac Thank you Carole! Yes, we are definitely two peas in a pod even though we very different peas! @allie912 Thank you Allison! He read it over my shoulder and was quite pleased with himself! And believe it or not, this figurine is on his dresser, not mine!
this made me smile, my husband and I have a lot of differences, too. I really like your photo, but I have to admit these figurines kinda creep me out. I don't like things without faces. I have an angel one that I put out at Christmas just because my MIL gave it to me. You made them look a lot less eerie, though.
@crickle1969 Thanks Chrystal! I guess it's a personal taste thing. I love them- but I like Early American/Primitive stuff anyhow (don't own a lot but I like it!). But I can understand why some people don't like the lack of a face.
