Went to my second Photo Club meeting tonight. A photo shoot had been set up for the members to practice studio photography. I didn't feel my camera would really do well with this genre (but I did sneak a couple shots of the others!) so I opted out. On my way to the car after the session was over, the power plant of the college campus where we meet, really caught my attention. I wanted to add a gritty industrial feel to the picture when I processed it, so I deliberately tilted the orientation and added effects that brought out the tangle of pipes inside.
Your story made me smile! That's the sort of thing that happens to me when I go on a photo walk/shoot... I prefer photos I take on the way home instead! Great processing and intriguing building.
@salza Thank you Sally! @mzzhope Thank you Hope! @twr Thank you Timothy! @fullcircle Thank you Cindy! @taffy Thank you Taffy! And it sort of feels that way in real life too- a massive building compared to the others on the campus. @jennwithtwons Thanks Jenn! @jackie8 Thanks Jackie! One fellow really wanted me to try my hand at the studio shot, but it's really not my cup of tea as they say. I like doing this kind of shot though! @yaorenliu Thank you Yao! The typical orientation really had no visual impact. The tilt brought the shot to life. @sangwann Thank you Dione! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! @alia_801 Thank you Alia! @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry! @bruni Thank you Bruni! I'm not sure why they are so brightly colored. Perhaps because the windows are so big and people will see them. At any rate, it certainly looked good for the shot. @archaeofrog Thank you Katie! @digitalrn Thank you Rick!
