Color Wheel Challenge- Red by olivetreeann

Color Wheel Challenge- Red

A week or so ago Vikki (@summerfield ) did a series of selective coloring shots that featured the three primary colors. I challenged her to include the secondary colors too and she did! So now it's my turn to do a take on these popular hues. Starting off the series is red- the pinnacle of the color wheel. I was tempted to just post a straight shot of my red-handled scissors as I photographed them on a white plate, but the idea is to feature the color through the selective coloring process so I converted the color shot to black and white and painted the red back in! After that a little exposure adjustment was needed and applied. Up tomorrow- yellow!
Great composition

@fullcircle @nicolecampbell @taffy @dibzgreasley @yaorenliu @maggiemae @alia_801 @sangwann @digitalrn @shawnasays

Thank you Cindy, Nicole, Taffy, Debs, Yao, Maggie, Alia, Dione, Rick and Shawna!

@maggiemae Yes and no. Yes in the sense that I was able to make the white whiter, and no in the sense that the red is just as vibrant this way as it was in the original. The shadow is also a little more prominent this way as opposed to the original.

@alia_801 The color wheel is slightly different from the rainbow since it only has 6 colors, so I'm not sure it would work for the rainbow challenge- plus I'm really doing this for Vikki as I wasn't intending to do a month of weekly challenges. But it looks like it might be going that way because after this there's a few who want to do a glass ball challenge and I've been meaning to play around with that more! LOL I just can't seem to get away from these challenges!!

@shawnasays Good for you- if you need instructions, I have links to pictures in my project that show you how to do it. Just let me know if you want them.
