Color Wheel Challenge- Green by olivetreeann

Color Wheel Challenge- Green

Color #5 of the color wheel and I woke up this morning on a mission! I had to find something "different" than what I had been shooting of course. But the sunflowers caught my eye and their lovely green stems would make a good subject for green and I did buy them just to take pictures of them...

Followed the typical routine for the week...shot in color, fiddled around endlessly with the picture to make the white whiter and the green greener, converted to black and white, and continued to fiddle with the picture until I was happy that it would match all the previous pictures! It was sort of a shame to block out the beautiful yellow of the sunflower, but I like the way it turned out looking like a giant daisy!
Beautiful detail in this macro. Love it.

Beautiful addition to your color wheel theme. the white flower could very well be a daisy although it's really is a sunflower.

stunning details, ann! quit complaining about what your camera can and can't do. this is awesome!
March 17th, 2014
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! I'm quite proud of myself- I have not complained about my camera in ages! I do recognize its limitations- but even some of those, I've now figured out how to "improve" post processing, so there is even less to worry about there as well. Nope- what you're reading above is not a complaint about my camera, it is me poking fun at myself for the amount of time I sometimes put in to processing the shot with "just a little more of this..." and "what if I do that?" fussing.
