I will be hosting my first photo walk for the Pocono Photo Club this Saturday. The majority of people said they'd like to go on a nature walk this time, so I chose one of my favorite places around here- the McDade Trail. We decided on a section that I have not walked before so I went there to give myself a trial run today (or should I say trial walk?). As I came to the top of this hill I discovered a cyclist flat on his belly, camera in hand, taking a shot of some violets. He saw my cameras and just laughed. He knew I understood.
I promised my friend Vince that I would take some shots with the Nikon he loaned me this week- so here is shot #1.
Just lovely lighting, and I'm so enamored of your artistic capture of the rustic fence. What is it about a bend in the road that whets our interest so much? I hope you enjoy your photo walk, and that we'll get to see more pictures of it soon...Beautiful lighting... :)
Hosting a photo walk, how exciting! I can picture that scene, oh how many times I´ve felt like a fool bending myself in all the weird positions taking pics, lol! It´s a beautiful road and beautiful shot, I especially love how that fence curves through the whole frame.
This shot just took my breathe away Ann. Beautiful. Enjoy your photo walk. That's what I miss with country living, being able to join groups of like minded people. I think that's why I enjoy 365 so much. It's the next best thing.
It just looks so beautiful and serene there! An amazing shot, and seems that guy was a dedicated photographer! Love how it only took a look for you both to understand! x
@taffy Thank you Taffy! @gratefulness Thank you Sandi! I think it's the adventure of it all! @daisymiller Thank you Daisy! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @dibzgreasley Thank you Debs! You are absolutely right too- there is an adventure around that bend! @susale Thank you Suse! We really enjoyed a good laugh together. @alia_801 Thank you Alia! And thank you so much for the fav! @ubobohobo Thank you Margaret! @yaorenliu Thank you Yao! @sangwann Thank you Dione! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @lilminimonka Thank you Brianna! He even trusted me to take a couple shots of him by his bike with the trail in the background. That was fun too. @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! And thank you so much for the fav! @salza Thank you Sally! Yes, you would love this trail- it has some beautiful scenery. We do have some mountains along the Delaware too. Not as majestic as the ones by your valley, but you would still appreciate their beauty. @cortens Thank you Julie! @bill_fe Thank you Bill! @pflaume Thank you Lisa!
you should've taken a photo of the cyclist flat on his belly as he took photos. this choice of shot has 'ahl' written all over it. love it, especially the sporadic greens.
@eudora thank you Diane! @summerfield thank you Vikki! I was about to but I was spotted and then I didn't feel comfortable going through with it (I didn't want get him upset or suspicious so I let it be)!
What a lovely shot, Ann. It looks like a great place to hike. You should have got the guy on the ground! hehehe. Hope your walk with your photo friends was a good one.
@prttblues Thanks Bev- well I did try to take a sneaky shot but I wasn't paying attention to where the camera was aimed, so it didn't come out. The photo walk did go well- and I did get a shot of my camera club friends taking photos on that.
