Our photo club met on the campus of East Stroudsburg University tonight and spread out to take photos. We then came back together and put the shots up on the "big screen" and critiqued them. It was a fun night and also interesting to see what captured each photographer's attention. I have to say it was particularly exciting for me as 4 of the 5 shots I posted were chosen for the "favorites" slide show at the end. And the icing on the cake was learning that another shot had been chosen as the winner of the camera store competition for "unusual". Needless to say it was a GREAT day!
You're photo club sounds really fun and organised - always doing different things. Well done on your successes.
The textures and colours in this shot are fantastic - fav Ann!
@homeschoolmom Thank you Lisa and thanks for the fav! Also thanks for the tip- so tagged. @anazad511 Thank you Ana! @eudora Thank you Diane! They are a pretty active group! @nanalisarocks Thank you Lisa! @mzzhope Thank you Hope and thank you so much for the fav! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! Well, I TRY to get things right- sometimes I'm more successful than others! hehe @dibzgreasley Thank you Debs! And thank you for the fav! It's an active group. I'm glad I've joined too although I was expecting to stay in the background a little while longer! I guess I ended up jumping in the deep end a bit quicker than expected. (o: @neatz Thank you Anita! @susale Thank you Suse! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! Yes, I think the Luna Moth Caterpillar is probably one of the most colorful caterpillars but the color must send a message to the birds because no one picked him off the side of the house! @cimes1 Thank you Carole!
Thank you again everyone. It was certainly an exciting evening for me and many folks commented on how many of mine were a "hit". My response to that was that I've learned what my camera can and can't do, so it has helped me to select subjects that are suited to what the camera can handle. Secondly, it forces me to focus on composition to bring the best out of the subject. Photography is a wonderful blend of art and technology- you have to make both work to your advantage.
@lleo Thanks Gwenllian! I haven't checked out the artist's work yet, but if it matches you can be sure I'll come back and tag this!! Thanks for the tip.
You should tag it for the pat-tex3.
