Well, I'm probably boring you all to death with the Color Accent effect in my camera, but the silly thing fascinates me in the way that it chooses which color/colors to leave in and which to leave out. So today I thought I'd do a side by side comparison. First slide up: what it really looked like. Second: what the camera did. Third: What I would have done prior to having this cool effect built in my camera!
I LOVE color selecting!! You mean to say your camera will do selective coloring? Mine will do a lot of different things also, but not selective coloring...I have to do that myself!! I really like all 3 of these but selective coloring is my favorite!! FAV I also love doing triptych potography!! You can get pretty creative with it. This is just awesome!

Definitely not boring. My camera will do this and I must explore how to. So much to learn and such fun. Bought my first camera one day and joined 365 the next! I think the photo you processed is the best of the three although I like them all and the way you show how different the effects are. I would leave home if I found 5" spider in the bedroom. It might have invited friends round!!
Thank you Kathy, Ana, Bruni, Gerry and Jackie for the favs! They are greatly appreciated and I see that thanks to you this was on the Trending Page for a bit!
I have an Iphone that Sony came out with recently. it's the XPERIA. It has soooooo many funky things like color changing built in. Think it's first phone to do. I understand ur love of this.
@creativeaddict Thanks Laur! I do love playing with effects! In camera or out. @prttblues Thanks Bev! It's an interesting effect and I'm just having fun trying to figure it out. I don't really have to- with digital if you don't like it, you just delete it. And I have done it once or twice with this effect. I'm thinking that it picks out the color based on the contrast factor. If you look at the original shot, the flower is the boldest of all the colors in the picture and the center cone has the most shadow. That's the working theory so far.
