The temps have dropped dramatically and it's hit my joints pretty bad tonight but don't worry- a little Advil and I'll be back tomorrow as good as new!
Nice shot, Ann. Great textures and patterns. It's so intricate and looks quite delicate. I hope your joints feel better. The cold isn't helping my body either but Advil alone won't help. And we are due for a high of 6 tomorrow!
My thanks to all of you for the concern and well-wishes. As Bev mentioned, we're all experiencing some bitter cold here in the Northeast USA. The high tomorrow is supposed to be a whopping 10 degrees! Normally, as long as I stay inside, I'm fine. But I had to run some errands yesterday and getting in and out of the car and going in and out of stores exposes me to the cold which in turn gets my joints acting up. It's a bother, but you do learn to live with it. So thanks for the caring thoughts- they help make it a little easier to deal with.
As for the lacework that some of you noticed- it's not my handiwork, and not all are hand-made. I'm not sure about the top one. That came from my grandmother's stuff and I'm not sure how old it is. The middle one is definitely machine-made as I bought it a few years ago in a gift shop. And the bottom one is definitely hand-made as a friend of mine made it for me when I was in high school. Believe it or not, she decided she wanted to know how to make lace, and went out and taught herself! As you can see, she became quite adept at it. They are not large, only about 5 inches at the most in diameter.
@joansmor (o: You go girl!! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! Hanging in there. I'm also drinking a lot of Rubios tea- very good for inflammation and helping a lot.
