Well, I know than many of you like to shoot in RAW, and I'm told it's supposed to offer you many more options in processing. I had to send a few shots off to the photo club in RAW and forgot to switch the camera back to my usual setting, so when I uploaded my pictures today, I realized my mistake! Call me crazy, but I don't like RAW! However, after much fiddling, I did find an effect that I could apply to this shot for the third installment of laundry week. Don't worry, they're clean!
Cool capture. I like those pegs. I have never seen anything like them before. I usually shoot in both RAW and jpeg. I then go through the jpeg pics and decide which ones I will keep and process. It can be rather time consuming though.
I really like the detail and texture you caught here! Super shot! Like Sally, I shoot both RAW and jpeg. I didn't like RAW at first but now I usually choose a RAW file because it gives me more to play around with in the shadows, details, and easy white balance changes. However, I like jpeg at times because I can edit it quickly and it takes up less space.
I use jpeg as I never print a photo. and it`s good enough for computer use. Need no more pix. so I can do much more pic. on the card.
Great shot of the towels
Thank you Sally, Chris, Francoise, Alia, Dione, Nina, Suzie, Brian, Chris, Ferry, Filip, Pam and Margo! Who knew my clothes pins would cause such a stir! And I enjoyed reading your insights on RAW vs. JPEG too.
@janewinfrey Thank you Jane! In my vernacular, RAW is as "pure" a shot you can get with limited in-camera processing. Many prefer this format because it allows you to adjust pretty much anything with no pre-sets already imposed on the camera. With jpg the camera does some in-house processing which can't be adjusted. It all comes down to how much control you want over the final outcome of your picture.
