I was on the hunt for a photo that would give me the broad spectrum of light to dark which shows up as the illusive U-shape Batdorff talks about in his book "From Snap Shots to Great Shots: Black and White" and thought that I had found the perfect subject for it. I have a scarf hanging on a hook in my bathroom and the blue tassels were the opposite end of the color wheel to the "apricot" colored wall behind them. I thought having that contrast in color would produce the coveted U-shaped histogram. Perhaps it was the lighting; perhaps not, but the U-shape was not to be found. I'll still be on the look-out but in the mean time, this made for a great high-key treatment!
I am overwhelmed by the response to the Flash of Red challenge. There are 73 people who've asked to be tagged for it! Needless to say, it's an even greater challenge to keep up with it. I'm hoping to get back on track over the next few days and I thank you once again for your patience as I do so!
Thank you Phoebe, Sally, Jules, Wendy, Michelle, and Katy!
Thank you Alta!
Thank you Rick!
