It was snowing all day and it's not supposed to stop until midnight. Looks like there'll be some pretty photo opps tomorrow if I'm up for it. PT is scheduled for the afternoon, so we'll see...
I wish I could click my fingers so I could sit in your garden for a few minutes. You snow is so inviting as we continue to struggle through very hot temperatures.
I hope the PT helps you get stronger. Sometimes it makes me feel worse before it helps. I love the serenity of this shot but there is sadness too, or is that just me?
Snowing here this morning. I have to go to my old bosses and do 1099's for him either today in light snow or tomorrow in frigid single digit temps. Think I am vote for light snow.
this shot makes a person feel kind of cold looking at the snow. We didn't get any last night, all rain but we are to go down into the deep freeze today.
it looks a bit cold and bleak - I like the effect of the falling snow with the dark background. hope you get just the right amount today to be pretty without being a nuisance.
Thank you to one and all for putting this one on the PP with your views, comments and favs!
@eudora@pandorasecho PT went very well in spite of muscles and joints that didn't want to work with me! Very sore tonight but I think I'm on the right track with this!
@nicolecampbell It was 12 degrees F today which I'm not sure what that would be in celsius but believe me, you'd only want to sit here for about 30 seconds in that temp! Sure wish I could box some of the cold up for you to help cool things down!
@joansmor Yes, light snow over single digit temps hands down!
@randystreat not shivering- that's how quickly the snow was falling. Today, however, there is much shivering going on!
@sfeldphotos converted to black and white (it almost looked like it in color so why not fully commit to it?), sharpen, slightly adjusted the contrast and a small crop for better balance in the picture- nothing too fancy.
@golftragic The term "cold" can be kind of relative. While we're thinking 8 degrees F is cold the folks in Wisconsin and the Dakotas are laughing because their winters are routinely in the sub-zero temps! I was visiting California once with a friend and our hostess apologized for it being so cold. It was 50 degrees F and we'd just come from temps in the mid-20's. We just laughed at her and said it was jacket weather! So, it seems to me that every place has it's cold and then it's really COLD!
@olivetreeann You are absolutely right, of course Ann. The same logic applies to hot weather equally. When I used to live in a much hotter place 30-35 degrees was quite manageable. Since I've come down here that is bloomin' hot.
@golftragic Yes- true of hot as well. One of these days I'm going to get a chart that goes from Celsius to Fahrenheit because I'm horrible at doing the math in my head!
@olivetreeann I grew up with Fahrenheit, then Australia adopted Celsius in the 1970s (I think it was) as part of the whole changeover to metric from Imperial. I still quite often think in feet and inches when estimating sizes. No-one I know ever uses centimetres when commenting on how far to the pin on a golf green. No, I lie, one friend who's in the building trade does, her husband is German too so a metric man.
