Day two of the same subject using positive and negative space to emphasize the subject. It was a bit tricky getting the foil wrappers to contrast as they were pink and red and too close to each other in value but I managed it somewhat.
The wrappers in your pic have wonderful texture! I am still slowly snacking my way through the Hershey's Kisses that we got for Christmas ...They are quite tasty as well as photogenic!
Nice, I like the jumble of them. I once tried Hershey's chocolate but it was just too different to my usual English or Swiss chocolate! I like the shape of them though.
Thank you Wendy, Milanie, Taffy, Lou Ann, and Henri!
@grammyn Thank you Katy! As for your subject- I do see that you're struggling with it so I am going to suggest that you could-
choose a second subject for the remainder of the week.
check out other shots of Pointsiettas by typing the name in as a tag and see what comes up- if you see something you like, copy it!
or don't limit yourself to sooc as you have been so far. Do some post processing. Try high-key, low-key, textures whatever you like to have fun with. Remember- every picture has positive and negative space. Sometimes it's just more obvious than in others. This exercise should be fun and not a chore- so do what is best for you!
@casablanca Thank you Casablanca! Hershey's chocolate, although quite popular here, is not the best chocolate the US has to offer. Actually I'd say that most of the chocolate you can buy in the supermarket is really not all that great. But there are confectionaries who make it fresh and then, oh my! It's chocolate heaven!
@bella_ss Oops- meant to include you in my comment to Casablanca above. They are tasty but not the best chocolate overall. I'm sure they started out much better, but once these candies start being mass-produced they lose the better taste. I think the best chocolates, no matter where you are, are the ones made by a confectioner. Just like anything else, chocolate is always best when it's fresh.
I've only seen these chocolates on 365 but I imagine they are delicious!
