I've been seeing a few albums where folks assign themselves a particular subject for each day of the week so I thought I'd try that out this month with my own twist of course! Monday's topic is "The Elements". We had extremely high winds today and I really wanted to capture a shot of some leaves scurrying across the road or in the air. But my timing and placement were always off since I was on the road for a doctor's appointment and physical therapy. So instead you get a painterly approach to tree tops blowing in the wind from when I picked up the mail.
Thank you so much everyone for such a positive response to my artsy approach to "wind". Yes, in fact, the effect used on the sky is called "Van Gogh Brushstrokes". The trees had a different effect- "strong oils" which gave them that blurry feel of blowing in the wind and I erased parts of it in hopes to make it look more like what we see when the wind blows through the trees.

Thank you Haskar, Wendy, Kathy, and Ferry!
