Slice of Life 1

Of course the big news in the US today is the election. I have never seen so many people turning out to vote. I think most Americans realize that this is a turning point in our country. The two main political positions are diametrically opposed to one another and if you read their respective platforms that will be evident in the ways they hope to accomplish their goals. I don't think too many people take time to read the platform of their party- they just vote for the person they like or the party they usually vote for. I'm pretty sure we won't know the results of this election and even then I'm sure there'll be challenges. So for now, we wait...

For the month of November Tuesdays will feature a "slice of life" in my project.

It seems people have been eager to cast their vote. I'm glad that NC allows for early voting and I didn't have to wait in line to cast my ballot. Now I pray that the winners, whoever they may be, will cast their differences aside and work together toward the good of the country and those who live here.

In CA we all got mail in ballots. We could mail them, drop them off or vote in person. I voted weeks ago.

Thank you all. I have a feeling we will not have a definitive result for a while. There was a lot of tampering with the early votes and even some of the votes cast yesterday. I did not trust the mail in/drop off system which is why I chose to vote in person but in some districts even a locked ballot box was too tempting for some to alter. So now we wait and see what will happen next...
