Have you ever been in the midst of a group of people who were not speaking your language? Perhaps you were traveling abroad and found yourself “where the locals go” with no way to communicate effectively with them. Or maybe you were just hanging out with your grandchildren for the afternoon! It’s a little disconcerting when you want to express something but have no way to do it other than by hand gestures or by asking for an interpretation that's offered with an impatient roll of the eyes!
That never seems to happen with photographers. They have a silent language that goes beyond words and gestures. They can be off in their own world and fully engaged with one another at the same time. The instrument in their hand crosses language barriers, culture and age or in many cases brings them together. That’s because photography is a language of the eyes. And although there are as many nuances to this language as there are photographers, when the words come out of their cameras, they have no problem understanding one another.
This happened to me and @casablanca a couple of years ago, not seen her before, or since, that 4 minute chat. But we both uploaded the same red squirrel!!
This photo is a perfect description of your discussion. You are absolutely right about it being a universal language too. Participation on this site has proven that over and over and over again
Thanks to one and all! I'm glad you enjoyed the commentary. I have fun writing out these little musings- but I think the Lego Photography Club is having more fun posing for them!
Well, you know I'm giving them a big FAV!!! You described the language of photographers in word and in the image perfectly!! Love how you built upon each shot! CJ also agrees and give a big thumbs up too!
@cjphoto Thank you Chris- I have gotten completely hooked on the Lego Photographers and hope to do something more with them- maybe in January when I get stuck in the house. I think I've bought almost every one! I'm glad you and CJ the LPC (Lego Photo Club) because they sure like you!!
You've definitely been bit by the Legographer bug! They're perfect for those stuck at home shots. So happy you're having fun and CJ's a big fan of their work! ;)

( I did try to say that.)
Thank you Kathy!
Thank you Wendy- it's been growing a little each week as new photographers come along.
