Yogi Bear was a very popular cartoon while I was growing up but I think he'd been around long before I came along. My dad had this piggy bank version of him sitting on his dresser for as long as I could remember and he used to save pennies in him. I think I brought him home after dad passed away as neither of my sisters had any real attachment to him. But I did and now he stands on my bookshelf amongst some other childhood toys of mine happily smiling away as he always has. Except there are no pennies in him now. Maybe he's happy he's taken off all that weight!
