The western light of Two Lights is also known as The Harbor Defense Light. It ceased operation as a lighthouse in 1924 but was used as a coastal artillery tower in WWII. It later became a private home which was once owned by actor Gary Merrill. You can't see it in this picture, but the lighthouse does sit in a residential neighborhood with "regular" homes all around it. Can you imagine telling someone, "Yes, my neighbor lives in a lighthouse!"?
