A shot from the passenger seat in the car- a flag at the center of a little New England town- Anywhere USA.
I am once again overloading your feeds! Please pass by most of these posts which are a desperate attempt on my part to catch up with my project. I understand there are too many of them so I won't be offended if you only comment on one or two!
Another wonderful capture and edit! I wish I could just sit there and peep over your shoulder watching how you change the looks! You must have a picture in your mind before you even start Ann ;-)
Thank you so much for all your views, comments and favs which put this one on the PP. It's been a while since one of my pics landed there so that was really nice to see!
@ludwigsdiana Thank you so much Diana- you are very kind with your compliments. To be honest, this one started out as a less than stellar shot but I couldn't find the other flag shot I took while in Maine, so I decided to see what I could do with this one. It was shot from the car as we drove through a small town so the whole picture was lopsided! Thankfully there was enough room to straighten it. I then cloned out a telephone pole and a sign and a bunch of wires. Once all that was done it was a matter of choosing an effect that would cover up all the alterations without being noticeable. I thought a painterly look would fit the New England buildings and then adjusted the color so it didn't look too washed out and gray. Yes, sometimes I do have an idea of where I want to go with the processing but most of the time it's a matter of "try this", "try that" until I say, "Hmmm...that's the look I'm going for." And of course as soon as I finished processing this one, I found the one I was originally looking for!
