Spider Diamonds by olivetreeann

Spider Diamonds

One of those shots that didn't make it into the S challenge. It would have been used for "selection" (focus). We have spiders that make these interesting webs that are more draped than spun. After a rainstorm it looks like someone tossed diamonds on them.
Fantastic! Welcome to 365!

This is beautiful, Ann. Amazing to me how gorgeous a spider web really is!

@cassabear Thanks Casabear! I'm actually not new- I began back in January, but didn't go Ace until April. I've just started back-filling the second album of my ace membership with shots that I've taken and didn't use in my 365 Project album. Sorry for the misleading number!

@karenann @allie912 Thanks Karenann and Allison. These webs really are intriguing because they don't look like a web at all! They're more like a cobweb than the typical web a spider spins. After a rain, they're even more beautiful with the water droplets caught on their surface. I really wanted to use them for focus, but the sunflower was just a tiny bit better for my illustration that day, so this is where the web has come to rest!
