Yes! It is not hot enough here for them to grow but they were my great grandmothers favorite flower and her old Wyoming log cabin always smelled like the bushes surrounding it

Thanks to all- this was one of those shots that I did quickly and it was a bit breezy when I took it, so the Orton effect really helped to soften the edges and bring out the color. I so appreciate all your kind words!

I had two shots that came out quite well in the Orton effect today- but I liked the way I did the frame on this one better- so it became the post of the day. Thanks again to both of you!!

@summerfield Thank you Vikki- extended exposure to the fragrance makes me sneeze as well, but it's worth it! Most of the time I enjoy them out of doors and then I don't have to run for a tissue every 3 minutes! Like a few different photographers on 365 this past week, I was taking this shot while a healthy breeze was blowing and although I took it without any blur, the Orton effect just spruced it up so nicely with those soft edges.
