I've been so drawn to sepia lately. I honestly don't know why but perhaps there is some sort of nostalgia connected with it and due to the recent death of my father I am inclined to melancholy. I am also a day-dreamer prone to being lost in my thoughts until the words hit the page as I write. Whatever the reason, I find myself turning the dial on my camera to sepia quite often and loving the pictures that end up on my screen. Although this shot appears on the stormy side, it was actually a sunny and breezy day- just perfect for hiking the trails and enjoying the beautiful side of this world. And that's what we did.
Rather wistful and introspective to my eyes. As Jennifer says, it's gentle and would be very easy to live with as a large print on the wall, I think. Like this a lot :-)
There were times during this day the sun was so bright I could not read my camera. I would try looking back at the picture but I couldn't always tell exactly how the shot came out. I knew this one would be a bit blurry but opted to keep it. So glad I did- it is one of my favorite shots from the day.
