Easy Rider

I was (once again) playing around with the layering technique today. I'd been trying to decide how to approach the movie Easy Rider and even had a possible picture lined up to post, but then this fellow on the "put-put" motorcycle flew past my house today as I was taking pictures of my plants and I couldn't resist taking a shot of him as he went by. I should have kept track of what I did to this picture! I singled him out of his picture, overlayed him on a highway shot from my time in Vermont, and then added another shot of the street signs on top of that. I cloned the edges around them to blend them into the highway shot, added a texture to give the sky some texture and then messed around with the exposure, the vibrance, and somehow changed the b/w photo into the colors you see here. It still needed something so I posterized it and added the film strip frame. The processing was done in iPiccy; the frame in BeFunky. The only thing better might be to throw the Hypnotic effect in Ribbet on top of it- but then I'd have to call it Vertigo. I hope this makes you laugh as much as it does me!
Like it very cool

@karenann @nicolecampbell (thanks so much for the fav!) @summerfield @kimmistephens @sangwann @digitalrn

Thank you Karenann, Nicole, Vikki, Kimmi, Dione and Rick!

@summerfield That should read putt-putt I guess. It's a little motorcycle that's more like a scooter than a motorcycle. In other words it's not a real motorcycle like a Harley! lol

Wow! This could also be Blazing Saddles. Fabulous processing......so cool!

I've said it before ... your road signs are very cool indeed. The overall effect however is practically on fire!

@cimes1 Thanks Carole! I don't remember how I got it to turn so yellow! But I think the heat has clouded my perception into thinking everything is hot these days!!
@automaticslim Thanks Andy- yes, it's the second appearance of those signs! Both the signs and the motorcycle man are layered into the original picture.

Lyn
My goodness, I think I would have to take quite some time to absorb all you've said you did to this! It's amazing - your talent with the layers. I have a lot to learn!
July 12th, 2012
@lyno Thanks Lyn- I have to confess that sometimes I don't really know what I'm doing, I'm just trying all kinds of things. And there are other times where I just happen to pick the right thing to do and the picture ends up looking great. It's really all experimental when you come right down to it. And if I can do it, so can you!

@vposey Thanks Vickie! I am learning by just fooling around with it. Half the time I don't have a plan. I just experiment until I get something I like. lol!
