I was going to attempt to find a different shot for the indigo portion of my rainbow, but decided this shot was too funky not to post! It was taken along with yesterday's H20 and Blue shots, but because of the angle and lighting, I think it looks like an eye!
It does look like an eye--really neat photo! In thumbnail view, I thought it might be spooky enough for Halloween, but it's too pretty.... More like a window to the soul.
Your right. and a huge eye that is. your thumnail is looking great.
just to let you know I was too tired yesterday to continue my church series but I posted 5 new pictures just now..in some I included the link of the orgional collage of June 28, 2010 which has the best pictures of the all.
@eudora Thank you Diane! @bruni Thank you Bruni! I'll do my best to check that out- Jeff and I are vying for computer time today! @jackie8 Thanks Jackie! @salza Thank you Sally! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @nancyperry Thank you Nancy! @henrir Thank you Henri! @filsie65 Thank you Phil! You are welcome to copy this or try to repeat my process- I used a large clear pyrex mixing bowl and filled it about 2/3 of the way with water, and then added blue food coloring. As the food coloring was dispersing into the water, I just kept shooting from all different angles. This one is looking straight down into the bowl. The dark center is the bulk of the food coloring. In post processing, I put the shot in b/w, and then painted the original back in only where the food coloring was (and believe me, some of those little tendrils were tricky!!). I then put a matt border with an indigo tint around the edge and finally added the frame. You're right this would look really pretty with light coming through it. @netkonnexion Thank you Damon! @ruthmouch Thank you Ruth! @dmariewms Thank you Marie!
@daisy Thanks Kathryn! The funny thing is that when I took the shot, I didn't look at it that way- I was focused on the indigo center. When I uploaded I couldn't believe my "eye"!
@wenbow Thanks Wendy! It's sort of a variation on some shots I've seen on here. I don't have a camera that can do the studio type shot, so I improvised with this. I like the way it came out too, although I wasn't sure what I was going to get!
