I bought this Carnival glass tumbler in the summer at Judy's yard sale for the sole purpose of having a piece of glass that was violet. Now I have glass pieces in every color of the rainbow! My collection of "Things I bought Just for 365" is growing larger! Uh oh!
I think we all have a collection like that, unfortunately some of the things I make for 365 get eaten very quickly and then I have to start all over again :)
@nicolecampbell I have bought some edible things- and those I don't really mind- but when you buy a shark for a fish tank because you need take a picture of a shark, or a plastic pig as a holiday souvenir because she will be so cute to photograph like those little duckies- you need help!
This has almost an iridescent feel to it - so pretty! I, too, have a collection of items I've purchased for 365 - sometimes you have to "buy" ideas! :)
@maggiemae lol Maggie- some of my shelves have never been better dusted! @sparkleplenty1 lol Joyce- or sometimes you just buy things because they give you ideas! As did the little blue Volkswagon, the light-up globe, the plastic frog and the persimmon that I bought to name a few...! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! Actually it is quite pretty when the light hits it the right way. @chrismarfil Thank you Chris! @pjonas lol Patty- I laugh at myself every time I see that silly (but cute) little pig I bought in Boston! I still see my friend saying "Is that for Leigh?" (my granddaughter) and the look on her face when I said "No, I'm going to use it for the 365 Project!" She knows what 365 is and she just started laughing, "I had no idea you were this crazy about it!" @digitalrn Thank you Rick! Yes, it's some of the prettiest Depression glass you can collect. One piece will be enough for me because of my limited space, but it looks great on the window sill.
Thanks Ann, have missed all of you. Just love this depression glass. Now I've got to catch up on everyone. I had to post some that I took before today.
ann, at least it's your collection that is growing larger. my purchases for 365 just added to my waistline! this is a very nice vase. i miss going on yard sales. been a few years since i went to one. i love the colour of this glass vase, as well as its design.
@filsie65 thank you Phil! @summerfield thank you Vikki! lol I don't think I'd mind one or two of those purchases! But I'll be good and stick to the silly stuff instead.
Beautiful! I had to smile when I read that you bought glasses just for the 365 project. Whenever my husband asks me why I bought something and I tell him it is for photography, he just starts nodding his head and walking away.
@daisy Thank you Kathryn! Thankfully, this was the only one. However, I did buy three other pieces as well- a beautiful little milk glass plate, a tiny clear bottle somewhat shaped like a soda bottle and a little green bottle with a picture of George Washington on it- lol! I've already posted the clear bottle, but I'm sure the other two will show up during the winter when I need new subjects!
Oh wow! This is beautiful! I love it. I don't think I've ever bought anything for the 365... I'd bring my camera into a store first ... LOL ... Lovely shot!
@wenbow Thanks Wendy! @prttblues Thanks Bev- I bought this at a yard sale, so it wasn't that expensive- although it is the most "expensive" thing I've bought for 365.
