I was on the road when my second year on The 365 Project came to a close. What a year! There were both joys and sorrows as it is with any year, but this year they seemed deeper with the loss of my Dad. My 365 "family" has been a continual source of encouragement and friendship- and believe me- you make a big difference in making it through some of those valleys! I'm not sure what lies on beyond the camera lens in the year ahead but I'm sure there'll be new challenges, a visit or two to the Popular Page and hopefully that illusive "big girl" camera will actually come into my possession this year. Who knows!! The only thing I'm sure of is that you'll be there to encourage me no matter what camera I'm using and some of you will make me laugh with your creativity and ingenious comments. Others will bring me to places all around the world or to places the eye does not usually see. I can't wait to see what you'll find next! And hopefully in my own way and in my own style, I'll do the same for you. And so, as 2013 rolls on its way, I wish you all a year of great photo opportunities and new discoveries as you look through the lens at the world around you. Thank you for your faithful support through 2012!
I'm glad to be part of your 365 family. Your photos are wonderful - like this one. I look forward to see what comes across the screen through your eyes this year! Happy New Year, Ann! :) Love this shot and the pattern. :)
This looks like XOXOX's to me. Yes, every year does get better for me as well as a photographer. I'm inspired and challenged everyday with this amazing community. I look forward to see what the new year brings you in view for us :-)
@cimes1 Thank you Carole- not only for this comment but for your faithfulness through my whole project! @automaticslim Thanks Andy! Oh I have wanted a "real" dslr since I started! I have my eye on Canon- I like my p & s version and all the shots I'm most drawn to seem to be taken with them- but until I have cash in hand, it's a dream.
Hmm, as you know I have reservations, but there's no denying that they're good tools. I'd spend as little as possible on the camera though, and put aside any extra towards good glass.
I don't see any correlation whatsoever between what camera someone chooses and whether I'm going to like the end product. "... Nothing worse than a sharp photo of a fuzzy concept" and all that.

Thank you Kerri, Ana, Chris, Bev, Paula, Dione, Sally, and Carla- so many faithful supporters and friends! You truly are the best!!
What's this about a "big girl" camera? Are you proposing to join the ranks of the dSLR users?
