My we had a storm! It started early in the morning and went on for most of the day until late at night! Although Jeff periodically shoveled all throughout the storm, he still had another 3 hours of shoveling to do today! All total, 15 inches of snow fell on our little home in the Poconos!
Top- icicles on the chimney, snow on the roof, poor flamingoes swimming in snow, silly lawn decoration that may get put away because it's brought on too much snow this winter!
Left side- decorations on the deck covered in snow and the garden swing out for the count.
Right side- There's no place to put the snow on the deck, so we're stacking it! Our house number is just barely peeking through the snow for the 9-1-1 folks.
Bottom- The neighbor snowblows his driveway, a birdhouse under snow, 5 foot high piles of snow on the side of the driveway, and the snow has reached the armrest of the garden chair!
We heard today on the news that 48 of the 50 states have some form of snow on the ground! Thank goodness for our woodstove!!
Wasn't it though?!?! We even had thunder an lighting!! Awwww, the Poconos! My cousins used to have a house there when I was little! I have such great memories of those days!
Nice shots, Ann! Great collage! You got dumped on all right! We got almost 2 feet here!!! Holy cow what a storm!! You should invest in a snow blower!! Well captured! :)
Your wonderful collage says it all. I love the scenes you chose to illustrate the heavy snowfall. It's beautiful but I can't imagine all that shoveling. Whew!!! No snow blower? Jeff doesn't need to work out --he has his work cut out for him there :-)
Wonderful collage! It struck me today, flying from NYC to Chicago, that everything was covered in snow! At first I thought it was clouds, but realized that while there were clouds, the ground was white too.
@sfeldphotos Thanks for the fav Sam! @allie912 Thanks Allison! Sad to say, but I don't think it's going to be melting all that quickly! I have hope that Spring is on its way though. @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @luvmynynix Thank you Laurie! Glad you've got good memories of the Poconos. There are some things that have not changed but you'd probably be surprised at how much has. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! Yes, poor guy totally conked out last night! @prttblues Thanks Bev! A snow blower would be nice, but we've never had the extra cash to buy one. @twr Thanks Timothy! @sangwann Thanks Dione! You are a smart man! @tuya Thank you Claire! @cimes1 Thanks Carole! Our neighbor has a snow blower and helps once in a while, but we've never had the extra cash to be able to get one. @digitalrn Thanks Rick! And as if to say, "You'd better get used to it" Mother Nature gave us another 2 inches today. (So far!) @taffy Thank you Taffy! Snow all the way across the state and beyond. I believe it!
Great collage. There sure is some bizarre weather going on worldwide! I certainly don't envy you being surrounded by all of that snow and having to shovel it. I hope you stay safe and keep warm!
@homeschoolmom Thanks Lisa- we got 2 more inches Saturday and another storm is coming on Tuesday, but I did not hear how much snow is supposed to fall on that one. We really have been spoiled the last 5 years with those mild winters. @salza Thank you Sally! Yes, we're doing well in the safe and warm dept.!
