Dutchman's Breeches

These little wildflowers always make me laugh. They are perfectly named!
Pretty shot. Great colors and POV. I have not seen Dutchman's Breeches for a long time. It is good to see it again, even if it is just in a photo.

What a quirky name but fitting somehow.

That title sounds like a poem, and there´s something poetic about this shot too, it stands there proud and noble, green and lively against all the odds, even though the world is dying around it, "No, no I won´t fade away" it says and keeps on blooming.

What a nice idea to get it from that angle.

@eudora Thank you Diane! I found a whole grouping of them on the side of the path- so I was excited to be able to get a decent photo.

What a great shot, Ann. I have never seen a flower like this! The name sure is apt!! Well captured.

@prttblues Thanks Bev! I'm sure they grow in Vt. but probably not where you would come across them. They are definitely more of a woodsy plant.
