Unfortunately the over-flowing river was not cooperative with the street sign at the Bushkill Boat launch on the Delaware River. It's flowing in the opposite direction!
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! LOL I was so tired when I posted this I was actually falling asleep as I typed. The commentary has been edited now so that it makes more sense! @dibzgreasley Thanks Debs! Actually I photographed the flooding river before and the water was higher then. I haven't heard of any damage though and this appears to be "normal" overflow from a wet week and already soaked ground. http://365project.org/olivetreeann/365/2011-03-12
@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! No, we're fine- plus our house is on top of a mountain so water usually runs away from it not into it. @salza Thanks Sally! Yes, I was watching the water rush by, with debris also going along and thinking it was not the time to go canoeing or tubing which are both very popular here. @nancih Thanks Nanci! Yes, I would think the Susquehanna would look very similar.
Thanks Rick, Bev, Suse, Daisy, Allison and Alice! The water is going down- pretty close to normal now- but the river and creeks are still flowing rather quickly. Fortunately it's not as bad as it was this time: http://365project.org/olivetreeann/365/2011-03-12
How did I get so far behind on your photos? Well, I'm really enjoying them, that's for sure! This is really a pretty scene and I like how you caught the varying water colors. Fav!
@cimes1 Thank you Carole! And thank you so much for the fav! Not to worry about getting behind- it is probably due to the fact that I have been a bit behind myself this week!
