It's only fair that after a month of black and white images that I should take part in a month that celebrates color! Since I'm not as mobile as I used to be and most of the colorful items in my home have been my subjects in this challenge for several years, I decided this year I'll not only have a rainbow- but one that has been a good dose of ann-foolery applied to it. I have a feeling that Piggy and the Critters may pop in a time or two to help out as well.
Thank you Skip, Marnie, Lynn, Annie, Mallory, Haskar, Babs, Dawn, Joan, Felicity, Shanne, Vikki, Clare, Lynda, Daisy and Kathy! And a special thanks for all those favs!
@henrir Thank you Henri! @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole- I guess you were on your break when I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees. The right is worse than the left, but they both have bone spurs. Both were very swollen too so it was/is painful to walk or stand still for long periods time. BUT I have had both knees drained and had cortisone injected in them, and am going to physical therapy three times a week which is helping to strengthen the muscles to support the bones. Some improvement is happening with that- it will probably be a year before I'm somewhat mobile again. Tomorrow I'll be seeing an acupuncturist for pain management. I don't like needles so to have my knee drained and this treatment shows you how tired I was of being in pain! Of course I'm sure you understand that with all the troubles you've had from your shoulder. The arthritis will never go completely away, but I should be able to do more than just walk across a room eventually. The best part of it all is finally knowing what's causing all the pain and that it's not in my head.
@olivetreeann - I am so sorry to hear that Ann. I am sending you much love and a speedy recovery. Have you tried doing any water based excercise? I was doing hydrotherapy for about 8 months with my shoulder and I have recently taken up water zumba. I did find with the hydrotherapy that I was in quite a lot of pain afterwards but it did help with increasing the movement. Having chronic pain is awful and unfortunately something that you have to learn to live with and manage as best you can. My shoulder will always have a permanent injury and I have to be very careful with what I am doing or I can end up not being able to do anything at all. As I said, I hope you are feeling better soon and get your mobility back. You are a very busy person so you must be so frustrated. xxx
