Coleus Bloom

Jeff bought me a garden arrangement for my birthday and in spite of the dry conditions this summer it has remained well-watered and blooming continuously. I'd never seen Coleus send up a flower stalk before but there a quite a few of them on this plant.

Interesting effects and colours together. I think it is advised to cut the flowers off too keep the leaves colourful .

@wendyfrost Thank you for the tip- I wish I'd known that earlier. The colors on the leaves are ok- but they certainly aren't as deep as I'm used to seeing them. Maybe I'll keep the blooms a few more days and then trim them. Thank you Wendy!
