I am posting a week of feathers and today is day three. This is a female koel feather, probably a tail feather judging by the shape of it.
I will catch up with your photos tonight, been out all day. Put the washing out early as the rain finally stopped today, then went to the cinema with friends, out for lunch afterwards and then I had to do some grocery shopping so only just got home.
I have just brought the washing in and thankful that it has dried.
Koel's are migratory birds from Papua New Guinea and arrive here in Spring to breed. They are brood parasites, like cuckoos, and leave their eggs in other birds nests then fly back to PNG
