I will be posting more photos from One Mile Beach over the next few days because I am a bit short on time at the moment.
This is as far as we could walk along the beach because the tide was coming in and we would have been cut off if we had walked further. We would have been able to trudge over the dunes to get back, if necessary, but the sand is so soft, and it would have been rather hard walk.
@casablanca Yes I am feeling much better now. I never slept so much in my life. I needed a handsome prince to come along to give me a kiss and wake me up again and luckily, he was close at hand.
I will have to stick with the rum and raisin ice cream because I am allergic to coffee.
I know what it is like to have to walk long distances in soft sand through dunes. You were wise. It is a wonderful clean looking beech. Very inviting image.
I must be feeling better because we managed an 8 km walk this morning and I am still upright, ha ha. Luckily it wasn't on sand but on the paths from Shoal Bay to Fly Point and back again. Then out for a much-needed lunch afterwards.
This beach at One Mile is popular with surfers and paddleboarders both in winter and summer.
